SNOWBIRD LUNCHEONS |
2004's Luncheon: On February 11, 2004 a pot luck luncheon was held at the home of Bill and Marcy Ryan in Port Charlotte, Florida.
2003's Luncheon: On February 12, 2003, 24 Discovery International members and friends attended the snowbird luncheon in the Conquistador Room at the Captain's Table Restaurant at Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda, FL. They enjoyed a great view of the Charlotte Harbor. They held a brief meeting during which time they presented Diana & Bill Allen a gift certificate to several restaurants of their choice in appreciation of the work they did on preparing the Discovery Int'l newsletter for the past three years. The following attended: Al & Nina Resch; Tony & Maureen Muscarella; Dixie Means; Jim & Margie Madole; Bob & Nancy Scull; Doug Chetwin & Judy Marshall; Lois Campbell; Gene Baldwin & Jean Baldwin; Bill & Diana Allen; Ed & Pat Walkup; Ron & Sarah Hyslop; Jim & Carol Mounts; and Bill & Marcy Ryan
2002's Luncheon: In February 2002 on an impromptu basis, we put together a luncheon for DI members whom we knew were in southwestern Florida. We contacted people by E-mail and phone and they in turn contacted others, there were 22 of us who met at Fisherman's Wharf in Fort Myers.
